Something I read by Neil Anderson years ago in his book called The Bondage Breaker: “Don’t trust your feelings, trust the truth.” No matter how we may feel at a given time, Truth does not change. The Truth is that God is with us always. The Truth that He loved us enough to send Jesus to die in our place. The Truth is that there is nothing that can come between us and God’s love. The Truth is that everything He allows us to suffer in this life is for our ultimate good.
Dear Father,
Today I felt you were far away from me. In my soul, I know this is a lie from the enemy. The truth is, you have been right beside me every day of my life. Please Father, let me feel your presence always and remind me of the truth when I am lost in the dark.
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
